He graduated from Asheville High School, attended the University of Georgia in 1991, and later earned his DDS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He took ownership of this practice in 1995 and has been serving western North Carolina ever since.

Dr. Calhoun puts his philosophy in his own words: “It is my mission to treat everybody like they were my mom. I want to keep my skills at the absolute highest level so I can deliver the best dental care available. At the same time, we provide a laid-back, friendly atmosphere so that our patients are relaxed and have experiences with us that are as enjoyable as possible.” He completes around 30 hours of continuing education each year to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry.
